CIT154 HW 12

Taking into consideration that Web 2.0 took over ten years to implement from the original web, we still have a bit of time and a few hurdles to surpass before Web 3.0 can be introduced. Until then though, around the web it is explained what is expected from 3.0. From what I have read it seems like the consensus is that Web 3.0 will be used mostly as a marketing term rather than actually being an upgrade to our usage. I would rather look at the possibilities and goals of Web 3.0. The most interesting thing I have found is the ability for a browser to take a sentence in a search and recognize all the characteristics. Search engines are smart now and will even help auto complete your search and suggest other searches related, but they can be smarter. Imagine typing in, ‘I want to eat at a Mexican restaurant around noon, and catch a movie by 5pm around my area.’ And the response from the search gives you everything you asked for. A list of Mexican restaurants with openings for around noon and a listing a movies and theaters near you with movies around 5pm. This is where the internet is headed and its an exciting to see the strides like this. Some think that Web 3.0 will be introduced sometime in 2015 but I am not sure exactly when and what will be introduced.
